Hi! I’m Megan!

I’m a user research professional, social psychologist, and behavioral scientist, and I’m here to make products and experiences that make people’s lives better.

I’m a mixed-methods researcher who is passionate about developing innovative research initiatives to understand specific user needs and barriers, pilot test novel ideas, and iterate and improve on existing products.

I get really excited about taking ambiguous and complex problem spaces, distilling them into specific research questions and testable hypotheses, developing creative ways to learn, and translating those learnings into actionable strategies.

I am a research culture champion, a mentor for junior researchers, and a powerful and actionable data storyteller.

MY RESEARCH JOURNEY

I have spent my career helping people have positive experiences that help them reach their goals and increase their well-being.

In my graduate training, I focused on complex medical patients, and I learned how to listen deeply to the nuances of each individual’s story while drawing on key themes across groups of people.

My PhD focused on positive behavior change interventions. That’s where I drew on quantitative methods to understand change-over-time in key repeated measures outcomes using complex datasets. I learned how to transform columns of data into meaningful inferences, actionable insights, and compelling stories.

In my industry career, I have sharpened my skills in translating my research findings to product, marketing, and organizational strategies that empower users, increase engagement, and move the business forward.

I love working at high-growth startups, where I get to help shape scalable research practices and develop an ongoing culture of user empathy. Some of my favorite parts of my work include helping product teams conduct their own research, mentoring junior researchers, having high impact on users, and challenging myself by applying my skills across a range of industries, services, and products.
